The Wallaceburg Red Devils ended the regular season last night on a high note, pounding Sarnia 21-13. Clint Lamarsh led the way with 5 goals and 5 assists, Robbie Pollock had 4 goals and 5 assist to lead the Devils. Jordan Durston returned from injury and chipped in with 3 goals and 4 assists. Wallaceburg will be heading to the playoffs… we’ll pass along the schedule as soon as its available.

Former coach Dale Hunter will be back behind the London Knights bench next season. Hunter bolted London mid-season to coach the Washington Capitals of the NHL. Both teams subsequently went on long runs in the playoffs… with the Knights losing a heart breaker in the memorial Cup Championship game.

The Ottawa Senators agreed to terms on a seven-year, $45.5 million contract extension with defenceman Erik Karlsson. The 22-year-old Karlsson played each of his 216 NHL contests for the Senators after being drafted with the team’s first selection in 2008. He led all NHL blueliners last season with 78 points.
NBA Finals
The Miami Heat are one win away from the NBA Championship, as the Heat beat the Thunder 104-98. Lebron James is doing all he can to earn his first championship, scoring 26 points, dishing out 12 assists and pulling down 9 rebounds. James was limited in the final minutes, due to muscle cramping. hinder guard Russell Westbrook was solid all game pouring in 43 points,. but made a mental error down the stretch, committing a foul with the only a few seconds left on the Heat shot clock. Miami can wrap things up in South Beach tomorrow night. Tip off is set for 9 p.m.

Toronto 10 at 9 Milwaukee – Colby Rasmus and Jose Bautista went yard back-to-back for the second time last night in the ninth inning, to lead the Blue Jays past Milwaukee 10-9. In total the Jays clubbed 6 homers in the victory as Brett Lawrie and Edwin Encarnacion also went yard..
St. Louis 3 at 6 Detroit – Justin Verlander didn;t have his best stuff, but it was enough to pick up his 7th win of the season. Verly tossed 7 innings, allowing 5 hits and only one earned run, but walked 4 and only struck out 3…Phil Coke picked up his first save of the season…
