It’s topless night tomorrow at South Buxton Raceway with wingless sprints from the Ontario Topless Sprints, Michigan Traditional Sprints and Buckeye Outlaws (Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana) competing for the first Can-Am Championship. Blenheim’s Shawn Jones will be looking to win his second straight Cory Schives memorial race in the Comp 4s, in honor of Cory Schives, who died three days after his 17th birthday in June of 2009 of cancer. Jones and Schives were best-friends growing up in Blenheim, as Cory worked on Shawn’s pit crew. Jones has also won five straight feature races. Chatham’s Brad Authier is riding a four-feature win streak in the UMP Late Models going into tomorrow. Wallaceburg rookie drivers Drew Smith, in the Modifieds, and Willy Vyse, in the Sport Stocks class, will also be in action Saturday. The gates open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
