CKXS Sports Briefs: March 26, 2013


The Sarnia Sting are in a big hole, as the Plymouth Whalers took Game 3 last night at the RBC Centre 5-2. The Sting are now down 3-0 in the best-of-seven series.

Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith and the London Knights are set for Game 3 of their series with Saginaw tonight. The Knights are up 2-0. Puck drops at 7:11 p.m.


The Chatham Maroons are set to contend for the Western Conference crown, as they attempt to make a worst to first turn around. Chatham will play the defending champ – London Nationals. The series starts on Thursday in Chatham.


Edmonton 2 at 3 Nashville – Chatham’s Ryan Jones was -1 in 10 minutes of ice time.

Detroit 3 at 2 Phoenix – Ian White, Johan Franzen and Pavel Datsyuk scored the Wings goals.

Toronto 2 at 3 Boston (SO) – Patrice Bergeron scored the tying goal with 9:24 left in regulation, then put Boston ahead in the shootout. Joffrey Lupul and Nikolai Kulemin scored for the Leafs.

New Jersey 2 at 3 Ottawa (SO)
Los Angeles 5 at 4 Chicago
Minnesota 7 at 4 Dallas
San Jose 5 at 3 Anaheim
