Bobcats Shutout Tartans in Girls Rugby Action

The Blenheim Bobcats shutout the Wallaceburg Tartans 34-0 in high school girls rugby action Wednesday in Wallaceburg.

Bobcats star Breanne Nicholas however, soon managed the first try of the game, and kicked the conversion to start off the scoring. Mary Boldt followed up Nicholas’ attack with a crowded try, assisted by Helen Unger.

Blenheim’s Maggie Clendenning scored the third try of the first half with a good run and weave.

In the second half, the Blenheim Bobcats opened the floodgates, with Amber Nicholas, Vanessa Baker and Breanne Nicholas all scoring, with one more conversion scored by Breanne Nicholas.

The win improved Blenheim to a perfect 4-0 on the season. Blenheim has defeated UCC and Wallaceburg twice each, outscoring their opponents by an incredible margin of 185-13.
