Ryan Formosa has recently completed the Kukkiwon’s (World Taekwondo Federation Headquarters) 4th dan (degree) promotional test. Formosa was promoted to this rank by Master Mark Warburton in Petrolia last week.

Formosa has been a student of Taekwondo for over 20 years. He has been operating his own school for the last 3 years which provides Chatham with its only sport Taekwondo school.

Formosa said, “Taekwondo is a good activity for all ages, whether at a recreational, fitness, self defense or competitive athlete level. We have programs for everyone ages 4 and up. Our competitive program is first rate but we also excel in producing quality, disciplined martial artists with no obligations to ever participate in tournaments.”

Over the next several months Master Formosa will be completing the National Coaching Certification Program through Taekwondo Canada. Upon completion of this course he will be the only certified Taekwondo coach in Chatham and among the few of the certified coaches in south western Ontario.

The club offers a free week trial for any prospective members and family discounts. For more information on Cobra’s Taekwondo Training Centre visit the club at 7 Stirling Lane, call or e-mail Master Ryan Formosa at 519-365-2790 cobrastkdtc@live.ca.
