Ridgetown’s Brennan Rainey, as well as Wallaceburg Lakers veterans Jeff Nolfo and Bobby Domin have signed to play with the Seguin Huskies, in the Greater Metro Teir II Junior A Hockey League.

Rainey, who led the Dresden Kings the season before, scored 26 points in 32 games last season, while Nolfo was the Lakers second leading scorer with 19 goals and 40 points in 39 Junior C games. Domin, who hails from St. Clair Township in Michigan along with Nolfo, was Wallaceburg’s top scoring defenseman with 19 points in 37 games.

“Bobby is a solid defenseman who played in Ontario for the Wallaceburg Lakers last season, he is a good player on and a good guy off of it as well, we are very happy to bring him on board,” stated head coach Gary Astalos in a team news release about Domin, who was one of the teams earlier signings.

Seguin is in their first season in the GMHL, which is considered an outlaw Junior A league as it is not sanctioned by Hockey Canada, and has no limit on import players from the USA and overseas. Currently, more than half the Seguin Huskies roster is comprised of American born players from as far away as Long Beach, Phoenix, and Philadelphia, and International players from Russia, Sweden, and New Zealand.
