Early in his OUA career, Wallaceburg’s Jonah Pataki just keeps getting better and better. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Pataki helped the Queens University Gaels score the second most points in school history, by eclipsing his personal high for yards in an OUA game.

The Queens Gaels defeated the Waterloo Warriors 78-21, with Pataki, a Wallaceburg District Secondary School graduate, running for 118-yards.

Pataki collected his yardage on 12 carries, with a long rush of 23-yards.

The freshman collected over 200 total yards on the day, as he also returned the ball 4 times for Queens, running 97 yards, with a long return of 29-yards.

Queens will close out their regular season, celebrating homecoming on October 19 against Guelph.

In other OUA action, Blenheim’s Breanne Nicholas scored 4 tries and kicked 2 conversions for the Western University Mustangs as they defeated the Waterloo Warriors 34-3. Nicholas’ 24 points was a game high. Blenheim’s Tegan Williams also scored in the win.

Western will now face Queens in the OUA semi-final on October 19.
