Chatham Thunder U12 Petite A Thunder Win Two

The Chatham Cement Man Petite A Thunder were busy taking care of business this weekend playing three games in two days.

Saturday saw Chatham host the league top scoring Mitchell Stingers. The Thunder rallied hard in the second to make it a close game. Ireland DaSilva and Erica Anderson scored singles with Courtney Legere assisting on both in Chatham’s 2-3 loss to the Stingers. Avery Haines played a great game in night.

The Thunder were at it again Sunday hosting a double-header. Their first game saw them take on the London Lynx. Chatham outscored their opponents 6-1. Natasha Anderson and Courtney Legere each netted two, with Erica Anderson and Ireland DaSilva adding singles. Kylyn Murphy, Emilie Newman and Legere had two assists a piece with E. Anderson, N. Anderson and Leah Thompson each assisting on one. Audrey McKay-Barr was the winning goalie.

The Thunder kept on rumbling as they took on Elora Fergus in the second game of their double-header this time helping goaltender McKay-Barr earn a shutout. Kylyn Murphy opened the scoring early on with an unassisted goal. Emilie Newman chipped in two, with Natasha Anderson, Courtney Legere and Lydia Harron scroring singles. Ireland DaSilva had two assists, Murphy, Legere and Erica Anderson each had an assist a piece.
