Port Lambton’s Brendan Seys, a Chatham student, has been named to Team Ontario’s golf roster.

The Ursuline College Chatham student is on the roster for the third consecutive season.

“Overall the team looks very good, with many of the players already having achieved bench mark successes in their junior golf careers,” Mary Ann Hayward, GAO Manager of Sport Performance said in a Golf Association of Ontario news release. “All of the players are highly motivated to make the national development team and our coaching staff is prepared to work very hard to help them get there.”

Seys, who is 16-years-old, captured the first ever LKSSAA golf championship, and qualified for OFSAA earlier this Fall.

The grade 11 student, a member at Chatham’s Maple City Country Club, will train indoors with Team Ontario at The Golf Lab in Vaughan, Ontario through the Winter, before travelling to ClubLink’s Heron Bay Golf Club in Coral Springs, Florida for training camps in January and February. Then, over March Break, Seys and Team Ontario will head to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a training camp as well as Can-Am Matches.
