The Chatham Maroons will look like a very different team when the puck drops on the 2016-2017 GOJHL season.

As of now, the Maroons have advanced, or graduated no less than 12 players from their 2015-2016 roster.

Ross Krieger, who was named to the GOJHL’s All-Rookie team, has signed with the Junior A Georgetown Raiders of the OJHL.

Linemate Teddy McGeen is headed West to place Junior A with the BCHL’s Powell River Kings.

The third member of their line, Connor Koviak will cross the border to play Junior A for the NAHL’s Minnesota Wilderness. Also likely to depart to the Junior A level is Devin Panzeca, who was a 3rd round selection of the NAHL’s Northeast Generals.

This group joins Gus Ford, Ian Faubert, Connor MacKinnon, Parker Butler, Ryan Fraser, Declan Conway, Chris Corgan, Mark Fratarcangelli, and Michael Levesque, who all graduated due to age.

From this overage cohort, Chris Corgan and Declan Conway will suit up at the NCAA Division III level with Northland College, while Parker Butler will do the same with Elmira College.

This graduation and advancement leaves only Steven Beenackers, Austin Thompson, and Dede Cato eligible to return from Chatham’s top 10 scorers last season.
