Locals Dominate LKSSAA Junior Badminton

Chatham-Kent badminton players dominated at the LKSSAA Junior badminton championships Thursday.

Ryan Baker of JMSS defeated his teammate Josh Kewley for the boys singles title.

Olivia Hunter beat JMSS’ Natalie Little in the girls singles final.

Winning the girls doubles crown were CKSS teammates Jessie McPherson and Kirby McKinnon. They defeated ESPC’s Raine Avey and Micah Morissette. Aidan Lachine and Ryen Stevens of ESPC won the boys doubles final, beating schoolmates Hunter Henderson and Mathieu Gaudrault.

Finally in the mixed doubles championship match, Jake Reid and Rachel Carleton of John McGregor beat ESPC’s Bailey Rolph and Courtney Legere.
