Former Chatham-Kent Cyclones defenseman Kody Gagnon will suit up next season for the University of Windsor Lancers mens hockey team.

Gagnon, who played in Chatham in his Bantam years, spent the past three seasons in the QMJHL and OHL.

The 1997 born defender finished his season with the Chicoutimi Saugueneens. In 51 regular season QMJHL games last year, Gagnon collected 3 goals and 12 points, and added one assist in 17 playoff games.

Following his minor midget season, which he played with the Sun County Panthers, Gagnon spent a season with the Belle River Canadiens, before making the OHL’s Barrie Colts out of training camp. The Colts had drafted Gagnon 175th overall in 2013.

Gagnon will join fellow local products including Tilbury’s Blake Blondeel, Blenheim’s Kyle Hope, Wheatley’s Ian Faubert, and former Chatham Maroons Brennan Feasey and Eric Palazollo on the Windsor Lancers roster.
