Dave Allin Classic Tips Off
Elementary basketball teams from across the province will be descending on Chatham-Kent today for the 5th annual Dave Allin Classic. 
The two-day tournament is being held at John McGregor Secondary School with 16 teams taking part.
Over the last four years, the event has raised over $75,000 for the Windsor-Essex County ALS Society.
Dave Allin passed away five years ago from ALS, but spent his life teaching and coaching in Chatham-Kent, positively impacting thousands of kids — not only on his teams, but opposing teams that participated in numerous tournaments he organized.
The tournament is organized and operated 100% by volunteers, and all team entry fees and all
proceeds from the concessions, raffles, and silent auction are donated 100% to the Windsor-Essex County ALS Society.
