Two Chatham-Kent Wildcats basketball players will be competing this summer in the Ontario Summer Games.

Tate Wilkins and Nathan Hanson were selected to compete on the St/ Clair Region Team for this year’s Ontario Summer Games that take place August 3-6.

The duo started the selection process with a group of 23 boys and the first round of cuts brought the team to 15 Major Bantam Boys. The final team was decided on June 16 with 11 players making the roster.

In preparation for the Ontario Summer Games, Wilkins and Hanson competed with their team in an AAU Tournament on June 9 and won their division against some strong athletic teams from Michigan.
