Peewee Outlaws Win Provincial Silver

The Chatham Peewee BB Outlaws were silver medalists at the OWHA provincial championships this weekend. The Outlaws finished the round robin first place in their pool, and 3rd of 24 teams overall with 2 wins and one tiE.

To open the round robin the Chatham Outlaws tied the Aurora Panthers 2-2.

The Chatham Outlaws picked up their first win, a 4-1 decision over the North Halton Twisters in game 2.

Hudson DeNure, Arionna Hopkins (Jeanette Legere, Paytyn Logan-Whiteye), Lilly Fisher (Hudson DeNure, Libby Pink), and Libby Pink (Jeanette Legere, Analise Legere) had the goals.

Chatham beat the Oakville Hornets 6-3 to close out their round robin.

Jeanette Legere (Isabella Reinisch), Analise Legere, Libby Pink, Jeanette Legere (Libby Pink), Lilly Fisher (Dakota Marchand, Libby Pink), and Libby Pink (Dakota Marchand) were the scorers.

In the Quarter Finals Chatham edged the Kitchener Lady Rangers 2-1 with Libby Pink (Emily DeBrouwer) and Meghan Fife (Arionna Hopkins, Jeanette Legere) scoring.

The Semi-Final saw the Chatham Outlaws take a close victory 3-2 over Gloucester-Cumberland Stars.

Libby Pink and Savana Smith (Hudson DeNure, Analise Legere) scores in regulation. Jeanette Legere (Savana Smith) scores the overtime winner to send her team to the gold medal game.

Facing the Ancaster Avalanche, the Outlaws came up just short, falling 3-1 to take home silver. Hudson DeNure (Jeanette Legere, Libby Pink) had the lone goal.

Goalies Hunter Escott and Danielle Riley split time in provincials in net.
