This time around, it was the Blenheim Blades that scored in OT for the win. It could have went the other way as the Kings were awarded a penalty shot in the overtime period, but Blades goaltender Chris Dewulf stopped Matt Gaudrault’s attempt. The game winner was scored by Blades Malcolm Campbell.

Dresden retired to the locker room after the first up by two, with goals by Derek Shaw and Breck Rainey.

In the seconds Blades leading scorer Seth Henderson made it a 2-1 game. The Kings added another on a power play when Brady Hogg scored. That would be all the scoring for the second.

The Blades found themselves on a two man power play early in the third. Connor Wright scored for the Blades, with time still on the clock in the first penalty. When the next power play unit hit the ice, older brother Carter Wright scored for Blenheim to tie the game. The Kings fought back and scored two more goals, this time it was Tanner Cole and Matt Gaudrault. Blades Malcolm Campbell scored his first goal of the game late in the third to bring his team to within one. The Blades forced the overtime period, in the last minute of the game, with an extra attacker, Carter Wright scored his second of the night.
