The 1993, All Ontario Champion, Walpole Island Hawks

In 1993, the Walpole Island Hawks became the first Indigenous hockey team to win an OMHA championship, winning the Midget ‘E’ title.

Playing in front of a large crowd at the Walpole Community Centre, the Hawks defeated the Zurich Thunder 5-3 to win the best-of-seven series, and clinch their title.
