At Least One Chatham-Kent Arena To Open Next Week

Mayor Darrin Canniff told 99.1 CKXS that one, or two arenas in Chatham-Kent will open next week.

The move is subject to demand. User groups or interested parties should contact their usual contacts, or call 519-360-1998.

This comes only a week after council confirmed arenas would stay closed until September, but demand, along with the region’s move into Phase 3, prompted the change.

The arena’s will be either or both of Thames Campus Arena in Chatham and/or Blenheim Arena.

More of Chatham-Kent’s arenas will open in late August.
