Former Blenheim Blade Matt Martin Scores In New York Islanders Win

Former Blenheim Blades forward Matt Martin scored the New York Islanders 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers Saturday.

The win helped the Islanders take a 2-1 series lead in the second round of the NHL playoffs.

Martin also had 3 hits in 9:02 minutes of ice.

It was Martin’s third goal of the postseason, scoring once in the Islanders win over the Washington Capitals in round one, and once in New York’s play-in series against the Florida Panthers.

Clachan’s Travis Konecny was held off the scoresheet for the Philadelphia Flyers.
