Junior C hockey will return to Ontario on February 1, 2021.

This according to PJHL Commissioner Terry Whiteside.

“During a meeting of the Governors of the PJHL, it was decided that the league would set a projected starting date of February 1, 2021 for the regular season,” Whiteside wrote in a league news release.

“This date will be incumbent upon gaining the permission of all health authorities and governing bodies and will take into account the safety of our players, coaches, officials, staff and fans.”

Locally, the PJHL was halted this spring when the COVID-19 pandemic stopped the playoffs.

In Chatham-Kent, the Blenheim Blades, Dresden Kings, Wallaceburg Thunderhawks, and Wheatley Sharks are members of the PJHL.
