For the second time in mere days, a local OHL hockey player has been traded. This time, Blenheim’s Kyle Hope was shipped from the Oshawa Generals to the Owen Sound Attack.

Moments after the deal, Hope announced the deal and thanked fans and the Generals, where he has played three seasons, stating that he “is now part of the Owen Sound Attack! Gonna miss Oshawa. Thanks for memories.”

Earlier this week, Dane Fox of Thamesville, was traded from the London Knights to the Erie Otters.

This season, Kyle Hope had 3 goals and 21 assists in 30 games. The defenseman missed 10 games with a suspension earlier this season for a hit he threw against the Sarnia Sting. At the time of the trade, Hope was the leading scorer among Oshawa Generals defenseman.

Owen Sound currently sits third in the Midwest Division behind the London Knights and Kitchener Rangers.
