Royals Ousted From OFSAA

The Ridgetown Royals fell just shy of a quarterfinal berth at the ‘A-AA’ OFSAA girls hockey tournament in Belleville and Trenton.

After winning their opening game of the OFSAA tournament 5-4 over St. Paul, the Ridgetown girls team tied College Notre Dame 1-1.

On day two of the tournament, Ridgetown opened with a scoreless tie against Kincardine before losing what would prove to be a crucial game to E.L. Crossley.

E.L. Crossley shut down the Ridgetown Royals offense defeating the Royals 2-0.

With the loss, Ridgetown was officially eliminated, finishing with a 1-1-2 record.

Ridgetown was this season’s Kent and SWOSSAA champions.
