Balkwill Named First Team All-Canadian

The Canadian Baseball Network compiled their 13th annual All-Canadian College team, this season naming Chatham’s Larry Balkwill to their First Team, as catcher.

Balkwill led his Siena Saints in several categories this season including home runs (6), RBIs (29), and slugging percentage (.449).

Balkwill was also named to the MAAC All-Academic team this season, and won the Leo Dufort Student-Athlete of the month award while playing for Siena.

Away from his NCAA play, Balkwill won an Ontario title as a member of the Windsor Selects, and set a team home run record while playing for the Haymarket Senators in the Valley Baseball League.

Maxx Tissenbaum who plays for Stoney Brook was named the All-Canadian college player of the year.
