Steven Beenackers is a 17-year-old hockey player from Muirkirk, Ontario. Beenackers, who is a Ridgetown District High School student, currently plays for the Lambton Shores Predators Junior B hockey team of the GOJHL.

Sitting atop Lambton Shores’ scoring as a 17-year-old, Beenackers, a former Chatham-Kent Cyclones captain, is also an Owen Sound Attack draft pick.

Here are Steven Beenackers answers to CKSN’s Five Questions:

1. What is your career sports highlight/top memory?

Winning an O.M.H.A championship in Novice when I played minor hockey in Ridgetown.

2. Who is your favourite professional sports team and athlete?

Favorite team is the Montreal Canadiens, and my favourite player is Joe Thornton.

3. If you could achieve one thing/goal in sports, what would it be?

To win a championship at the highest level that I end up playing , no matter what level that may be.

4. Who has been your biggest sports influence and why?

My parents, because they have always been there to give me good honest advice and guidance, whether it be about hockey or about anything.

5. What do you love most about playing sports?

Going out there and being the best I can be, for my teammates and for myself.
