Five Questions With John Pinsonneault

John Pinsonneault is a 42-year-old driver from Chatham, Ontario, who competes in the mini-mod division at South Buxton Raceway.

Pinsonneault, who drives the #0 car, won the 2014 mini-mods Mid-Season Championship, and has four feature wins on the season.

A Chatham-Kent Secondary School alumni, Pinsonneault also plays recreational hockey in his spare time.

Below are John Pinsonneault’s answers to CKSN’s Five Questions:

1. What is your career sports highlight/top memory?

Driving dirt late models for two years for L&M racing.

2. Who is your favourite professional sports team and athlete?

I follow the Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs, and if I could meet one athlete it would be “the great one” Wayne Gretzky.

3. If you could achieve one thing/goal in sports, what would it be?

At my age, I enjoy racing weekly and going “all out” to win races, but I would love to be in a dirt late model again.

4. Who has been your biggest sports influence and why?

I enjoy watching my boys Caleb and Seth play hockey and school sports. They influence me more than anyone to be a good role model and enjoy life.

5. What do you love most about playing or participating sports?

I love competition. I enjoy putting on a show for the fans. We work hard every week on our racecar doing all the little things to race up front. We wrecked our car this week running for 1st place. No matter if I win or lose, I like people to remember the fly’n 0 goes all out week after week.
