The Bantam Chatham-Kent Wildcats boys basketball team captured gold medals at the London Ramblers basketball tournament this past weekend with a come from behind overtime win versus the Kitchener-Waterloo Vipers 66-59. The team twice overcame 13 point deficits to comeback for the win.

Evan Torres was the top scorer for the Chatham-Kent Wildcats in the championship game, racking up 21-points
Russell Jacques had 14, while Weiler Dunlop and Ethan Jordan each had 12-points.
To open the tournament, the Wildcats came out with a lopsided 69-8 victory over the Leamington Cougars. Jacques had 14-points to lead all scorers, while Jordan scored 12. Hunter Blommers and Bennett Schaffer each scored 10-points.
Facing Brantford CYO in their second game of the tournament, the Chatham-Kent boys walked away with a 51-38 win. Schaffer had 16-points in the win, while Torres (12), Jacques (9), and Jordan (8) all had solid offensive performances.
In the third game of the tournament, the Wildcats suffered their only loss of the tournament at the hands of the Kitchener-Waterloo Wildcats, setting up their finals rematch. Russell Jacques was Chatham-Kent’s top scorer with 12-points in the loss.
Ethan Jordan had 10, while Evan Torres and Aiden Legroulx each scored 4-points.
Facing Guelph CYO in the semi-final, Chatham-Kent topped their opponent 44-21. Torres had 12-points, while Jacques (9), Jordan (6), and Blommers (5) also contributed.
The Wildcats would go on to defeat the same Kitchener-Waterloo team who upended them earlier in the tournament, capturing the Rambers Tournament title.
