The Chatham Maroons’ offensive domination of the GOJHL continued Thursday night at home as Chatham doubled up on the Lambton Shores Predators 8-4.

Steven Szekesy opened the scoring for the Maroons in the first period on a shot from the point. Assisting on the play was Connor Doran, who had three points, all assists on the night.

After the Predators tied it up, Brayden Hopkins scored to put Chatham up 2-1. Nate Pietens would round out the scoring in the frame going end to end before backhanding a beautiful shot under the cross bar, popping the water bottle and giving Chatham a two goal lead.

In the second period, Brennan Feasey bookended the frame, scoring the first and last goal of the period. Feasey also added an assist later in the game to climb to second in the GOJHL scoring race with 33 goals and 73 points in only 39 games.

Jared Dennis, Mark Fratarcangelli, and Ian Faubert would round out the scoring in the game.

Chatham plays in St. Marys Friday, January 30.
