The Dresden Kings and Blenheim Blades both had unkind endings in overtime Friday night in game two of their Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League semi-final playoff series’.

one, before Ross Krieger scored the game tying goal with less than three minutes remaining in the game.

Shortly into overtime however, the Kings put one into their own net, a goal credited to Jordan Ryan of Essex, ending the game 4-3, and giving the 73s a 2-0 series lead.

The Blenheim Blades were on the other end of a comeback, as they led the Amherstburg Admirals 5-0 with roughly a minute left in the second period, before Amherstburg scored 6 unanswered goals, including the winner in overtime, to take a 2-0 series lead over Blenheim.

Matt Clark had 2 goals and an assist, while Zach Horvath had a goal and two assists to lead the Blenheim Blades. Teddy McGeen also had a goal and an assist, while Hunter Burk had the other Blenheim goal in the loss.
