After falling behind by three games in their best-of-seven series against the London Nationals, the Chatham Maroons are clawing back and now only trail by one after winning at home Friday night.

Brayden Hopkins scored his first of the postseason on a first period powerplay with Steven Beenackers and Jared Dennis assisting to get the ball rolling.

In the second, although Brennan Feasey scored for the Maroons, London got goals from Drew Worrad and Michael Woolley to knot the score at 2-2 heading into the third.

In the third period Gus Ford scored a shorthanded marker that would stand as the game winner. Chatham also added an empty net goal as Hopkins slid in his second of the game.

Bo Bessette was solid in net again making 31 saves.

Chatham has the chance to tie the series Saturday night in hopes of forcing a game seven Sunday at home.
