Walpole Island’s Jeff Williams will be one 27 Aboriginal hockey players from across Canada to be named to the Hit the Ice roster for the upcoming season.

Hit the Ice is a television show featuring the best young hockey players from across Canada, who will take part in an elite development on camera, and a series of showcase games in front of various scouts from all levels of Junior hockey across Canada. The series airs on APTN.

Williams, a 1997 born forward who stands six-foot-three, played a handful of games last season for the Alvinston Flyers in the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League.

The season prior he played for the Lambton Jr. Sting Major Midget ‘AAA’ team.

Williams also represented Team Ontario recently at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Nova Scotia.
