Wallaceburg’s Sydney Authier finally got her opportunity between the pipes at the University level, and the Ryerson University Rams women’s hockey netminder seized that opportunity.

Starting her fourth straight game for the Rams after not seeing ice for the first three quarters of the season, Authier made 26 saves in Ryerson’s 5-1 win over the Brock Badgers this weekend.

Last Thursday, Authier made 19 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Toronto Varsity Blues.

The week before, her first starting for the team, Authier was named the Ryerson Rams Female Athlete of the Week.

In 4 games this season, Authier leads all Ryerson goalies statistically with a 2.02 GAA and .923 save percentage.

Authier is an alumni of the Chatham Outlaws and UCC Lancers.
