The AHL Playoffs are underway and Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith put one in the net for the Providence Bruins but that would not help in Overtime as the Scranton Penguins take game one 3-2.  Game 2 of the series is tonight.

The Kent Minor Hockey Association held it’s Annual General Meeting last night  Dave Lambert  with the Association very pleased that the association honored Carl Herder


The Kent Minor Hockey Association is looking at expansion with a Triple A team to fill that gap between midget and Jr B or C.  Lambert says with St Clair College having dorms and many students looking for a hockey league this could be a good fit for the 17 to 20 years olds.

The Wallaceburg Tartans are in 12 man Jr Boys Football action facing the Chatham Kent Golden Hawks

High School Sr Girls Soccer action from yesterday it was Ridgetown over Lambton Kent 4-1, Lauren Edwards with the hat trick, NLSS edged out Tilbury 3-2.  Today John McGregor travels to LCCVI while SCITS hosts Lambton Kent.  On the Sr Boys Pitch no score in the NLSS – Tilbury game.  Pain Court shut out Chatham Christian 2 – Nil.

Jr Girls Rugby action today Blenheim will host Chatham Kent

The Wallaceburg Thrashers Home opener is Saturday against the Ennismore.

the Red Devils in action on Sunday against the Windsor Clippers.
