As a result of the ongoing hot weather sweeping across Southwestern Ontario, LKSSAA has cancelled all outdoor sporting activities for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The cancellation extends to practices, which will most directly impact Junior soccer, and Senior and Junior football leagues, as well as cross country.

A heat index was issued early Tuesday morning, with temperatures expected to reach 32, and feel like 39 by afternoon.

Tuesday, a UCC vs. CKSS Junior boys soccer game will be the lone locally scheduled game impacted.

Wednesday, UCC was scheduled to play Sarnia St. Pat’s, and CKSS was slated to play Northern in Junior boys football Wednesday.

Regular scheduling will resume Thursday, and missed games will be rescheduled for a later date.
