Several Locals To Play In Alliance All-Star Game

The Alliance Hockey AAA league will be hosting their annual Pro Hockey Life All-Star Weekend December 1-2 at Southwood Arena in Woodstock, Ontario.

Several local bantam and midget hockey players will be competing.

In the Major Bantam All-Star game, Alec Webster a defenseman from Erie Beach, and Brady Stonehouse of Blenheim will represent the Chatham-Kent Cyclones. Stonehouse has been among league leaders all season in scoring. Also, Zander Veccia of Ridgetown who plays for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs will participate.

At the Minor Midget level, defender Carson Noble of Stoney Point and Grande Point’s Deni Goure will play. Goure sits with 15 goals and 21 assists in 21 games, tied for second in the Alliance in scoring. He is considered a first round pick for the upcoming OHL Draft.

Finally, in the Major Midget game, Tilbury’s Tate Bowden will represent the Windsor Jr. Spitfires. Bowden has 6 points in 12 games for Windsor. Former Chatham-Kent Cyclones captain Spencer Lecot, who played multiple games for the Chatham Maroons last season will also play.
