The CKSN Chatham-Kent Female Athlete of the Month for July 2019 is Emma Pegg.

Each month, CKSN.ca will name a female and male athlete of the month.

Emma Pegg ran this month at the NACAC Championships in Mexico, winning a silver medal for Team Canada in the 800m race.

She followed that up by a gold medal in the 1500m race at the Ontario Legion Track and Field championships, as well as a silver in the 800m.

To close out the month, Pegg won a bronze as a 16-year-old in the U20 Canadian National Track and Field Championships.

Her CKSN Athlete of the Month honours, will earn Pegg a spot in the voting to be named the 2019 CKSN Female Athlete of the Year.
