Brooke MacLeod Commits To Play Soccer For The Windsor Lancers

The Windsor Lancer women’s soccer team announced their 2020 recruiting class, which included Chatham’s Brooke MacLeod.

“I am excited about the group of young athletes joining our squad this fall. In both the defensive and attacking side of the game, our Fall 2020 class provides is a group of athletes who can grow into impactful roles on the field during their Lancer career,” said Lancers head coach Daniel Mendonca.

“A well-balanced group with a combination of pace, leadership, aggressiveness and technical skill, is sure to help strengthen our roster all over the field. Most of all, off the field, our staff excited about the young women we have entering our team culture.”

A UCC Lancers student-athlete, MacLeod spent her youth soccer career with the Chatham Strikers and Eastside Kickers where she was a dominant defender and a leader for her team. An honour roll student in the classroom, Brooke also received Female Athlete of the Year honours in 2019 at Ursuline College and continues to achieve success on and off the field.

MacLeod is looking forward to continuing her playing career with the blue and gold. “Playing soccer at the post-secondary level has always been my goal and I’m excited to have this opportunity with the Windsor Lancers.”
