TJ Brodie And The Calgary Flames Open Training Camp

Dresden’s TJ Brodie is one of 30 Calgary Flames players hitting the ice today as NHL training camps open as part of the NHL’s Phase 3 of return to play.

The Flames will open their 2020 NHL Playoff Play-In series against the Winnipeg Jets on August 1st at 12pm.

The will be participating in the Edmonton “bubble” playing out of Rogers Place.

Brodie had 4 goals and 19 points in 64 games this season for the Calgary Flames before the year was stopped due to COVID-19.

Brodie will likely find added responsibility in the postseason with Calgary after fellow blueliner Travis Hamonic opted out of return to play.

The rearguard is slated to become an unrestricted free agent when the season ends.
