Marshall Powless A Probable High Pick In NLL Draft

Marshall Powless with Six Nations

Former Wallaceburg Red Devils star Marshall Powless will undoubtedly see his name on the board at today’s National Lacrosse League draft.

Powless played for the Red Devils in 2018 scoring 84 points in only 17 games. He also played for the Iroquois Nationals that year at the World Junior Lacrosse Championships racking up an incredible 17 points in 2 games.

Since his time with Wallaceburg, Powless has been setting the lacrosse world on fire with Six Nations at a variety of levels.

In his 2019 Junior B campaign, Powless scored 151 points in 20 games for the Six Nations Rebels. He also helped the Senior B Six Nations Rivermen win a Presidents Cup scoring 21 points in 7 games playing alongside and against men, including playing with his brother Johnny Powless, who is already playing in the National Lacrosse League.

Many believe Powless won’t get out of the first round, as his skill set is elite.

Phenom Jeff Teat is expected to go first overall.
