Hope Sees European Season Put On Pause Due To Pandemic

Blenheim’s Kyle Hope was one of the lucky one’s to be playing hockey this season, suiting up for Denmark’s Frederikshavn White Hawks.

The Metal Ligaen shut down all regular season games until December 3.

Hope had 6 points in 13 games with Frederikshavn when the season was put on hold.

The league considers the games cancelled, and is awarding half points to each team for the duration of the shutdown.

Frederikshavn sits in 4th place with a 7-8-1-1 record.

Denmark has recently seen a spike in cases averaging over 1,000 per day in a country of only 5.8 million people.
