Brooke MacLeod is a Usports soccer player for the University of Windsor Lancers.

Here is MacLeod’s message for International Women’s Day:

The idea of a strong women isn’t just a superhero like Wonder Woman. For me it’s all the great women who have inspired and influenced me, not only in sport but also in life.

As an athlete, I am thankful to have received so much support, guidance and encouragement from women who have been my hero’s including my teachers, coaches, teammates and family members.

I encourage the next generation of girls not to hold back, love the sports they play, and be the best versions of themselves.
