Notable Names To Enter Chatham Sports Hall of Fame

Several of the most notable names in local sports history will join the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame as part of the 2022 induction class

Andy Fantuz, a former CFL football star, and professional golfer Mike Woodcock join the athlete-modern category, Beryl Ivey (nee Nurse) a noted track and field champion enters the athlete-legend category, while Dave Preston (volleyball coach), Shelley Barnett (nee Simonton) (figure skating), and Gord Grace (OUA executive) enter as builders. Bob Stafford’s Chatham Granite Club rink will be inducted as a team.

Following a multi-year hiatus, the induction ceremony will again take place in person, this year on September 22 at the Bradley Convention Centre.
