Medals For Matteis, Branton at Canadian Championships

Local swimmers Quinn Matteis of Chatham and Shona Branton of Port Lambton won medals this week at the Swimming Canada national championship in Montreal, Quebec.

Matteis, representing the Windsor Aquatic Club won a pair of silver medals. He took second in the 400m freestyle with a time of 4:00.35, while his other silver came in the 800m freestyle touching in 8:18:17.

Shona Branton, representing the London Aquatic Club won silver in the 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:10.69.

Branton swims at the USports level with Western University.
