Mohawks Slip Past Red Devils

The Wallaceburg Red Devils watched their brief winning streak slip away Saturday as they narrowly fell to the Elora Mohawks.

Keith Dawson, Jordan Durston, Chris Taylor, and Mike Myers scored in the opening period to give the Wallaceburg Red Devils an early 4-2 lead.

Neil McInroy scored in the second period to keep the Red Devils up by one heading into the third, but the Mohawks came back to the floor with renewed energy, outscoring the home team 5-2 in the third to capture the game 9-7.

Myers and Evan Mathany had the Wallaceburg goals in the third.

His goal and two assists in the game, were enough to keep Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston in the league scoring lead, with 25 goals and 36 assists for 61 points in only 8 games.
