Rylan Evans of Chatham, Ontario won the Aspen Snowmass Open Men’s Slopestyle event this past weekend, taking gold.

“Beyond stoked to take the win here at Aspen Open,” Evans wrote on social media. Such a crazy finals, big ups to all the boys for throwing downn. What an insane day.”

Evans took the $5000 prize and gold for the event win.

Rylan Evans scored 90 on his best run, ahead of second place skier Tim Ryan of the United States, who had 89.83.

The event, which features amateur and professional athletes from across the globe, is in its 15th year at
Buttermilk Ski Area in Aspen, Colorado, competing on the X Games courses.
