Hope, Griffith Start Second Round Friday

Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith and Blenheim’s Kyle Hope will begin the second round of the OHL playoffs Friday in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.

Hope and his Owen Sound Attack will face the Plymouth Whalers after defeating the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in six games during the opening round of playoffs. In that six game series, Hope scored a goal and added an assist, to go along with 16 penalty minutes.

Griffith and the London Knights will host the Kitchener Rangers after sweeping the Saginaw Spirit in round one. Returning from a month on the sideline with a broken arm, Griffith also had a goal and an assist in the four game series.

If the two favoured teams advance, Griffith and Hope will be set for a meeting in the OHL’s Western Conference final.
