Lakers Sign Goalie Zach Lindley
The Wallaceburg Lakers have a goaltender.
Wallaceburg officially signed rookie netminder Zach Lindley, as per a team report Monday evening.
Lakers coaching staff have noted that they are beyond excited to have Zach join the club and feel that by adding the Chatham native, they have added strength to the club’s goaltending department.
Lindley is expected to be Wallaceburg’s starting goalie. George Hill of Brooklyn, Michigan was last year’s starter and despite tough numbers through a difficult season, was looked upon as a leader. Hill finished with a 3-24 record, 5.97 GAA and .881 save percentage.
The soon-to-be 17-year-old Lindley spent last year playing Midget Major AAA in Windsor. Lindley posted a 2.27 goals against average through 18 games.
