CKSN Chatham-Kent August Female Athlete of the Month: Genevieve Sasseville

The CKSN Chatham-Kent Female Athlete of the Month for August 2019 is Genevieve Sasseville.

Each month, will name a female and male athlete of the month.

Sasseville opened the month winning a pair of medals at the Canadian Swimming Championships in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

She won a silver in the 100m butterfly with a time of 1:00.41, and a bronze in the 200m butterfly.

Later in the month, Sasseville travelled to Budapest, Hungary to compete with Team Canada at the World Junior Swimming Championships.

Here, she helped Canada win a pair of bronze medals in relay events, including the 4x200m freestyle, and 4x100m medley.

Her CKSN Athlete of the Month honours, will earn Sasseville a spot in the voting to be named the 2019 CKSN Female Athlete of the Year.
