CKSN Chatham-Kent August Male Athlete of the Month: Jeremy Vandenboorn

Each month, CKSN.ca will name a female and male athlete of the month.
U18/ U16/ U14 Athletics Ontario championships. Jeremy Vandenboorn took gold, silver, and a bronze home. He won the boys U16 discus throwing 44.98m. He also grabbed shot put silver and hammer throw bronze.
Later in the month, the Ridgetown product finished 4th in the U16 discus, 5th in hammer throw, and 6th in shot put at the Royal Canadian Legion Youth Track and Field championships in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
Vandenboorn, a UCC student, represented the London Western track and field team.
Vandenboorn’s CKSN Athlete of the Month honours, will earn him a spot in the voting to be named the 2019 Male Athlete of the Year.
