Brady Stonehouse of Blenheim has signed with the Ottawa 67s, who drafted the forward 26th overall in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection Draft.

It was a long time coming for the former Chatham-Kent Cyclones and Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs star who missed this entire season due to COVID-19.

“Brady is a high-energy skater who possesses an excellent skill set and a physical edge to his game,”  said 67s General Manager, James Boyd in a team news release.

“He has an immense passion for the game and a competitive spirit. The bigger the game, the more valuable he becomes and the better he plays. When the chips are down, he’s a player that wants to be involved,” said 67s Assistant General Manager and Director of Scouting, Jan Egert.

Stonehouse had 83 points in 48 regular season and playoff points in his U16 season with the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs. He also had 4 points in 3 Junior B games for the Komoka Kings.

The OHL is slated to start their 2021 regular season in October.
